Day one of our trip led us to Rapid City, South Dakota for nearly eight hours of driving, dinner at the Firehouse Brew Pub (bad food, OK beer), and dramatic evening at Mount Rushmore.

glp > Natalie took the last four hours of the drive to Rapid City, while I leaned back and enjoyed the view.

glp > There is a story behind this. We were already on the road, near Dodd & 694 when Natalie asked, "did we remember our passports?" "Nope." So we drove back, found hers and realized that mine was nowhere to be found. So we spent an hour and a half in a FRANTIC search for my passport, only to find it buried DEEP in the storage unit. Yes, the storage unit. It must have been inadvertantly placed in one of the bins.
